    CDCP Coverage and Costs

How Much Will You Pay With the CDCP?

The amount covered by the Canadian Dental Care Plan depends in part on your adjusted family net income and the fees established by the CDCP for eligible services.

Adjusted family net income from $70,000 to $79,999
    60% covered

    40% Co-Payment

The CDCP covers 60% of the plan-established fee and you are responsible for a 40% co-payment of that fee.

Adjusted family net income from $80,000 to $89,999
    40% covered

    60% Co-Payment

The CDCP covers 40% of the plan-established fee and you are responsible for a 60% co-payment of that fee.

    What Is a Co-Payment?

A co-payment is the portion of the CDCP-established fee that you pay directly to your oral health provider. It is based on your adjusted family net income.

Why Might There Still Be an Amount to Pay?

CDCP-established fees do not necessarily match the fees charged by the clinic. Some services may also not be covered by the plan.

    !

100% Coverage Does Not Necessarily Mean Your Dental Care Is Completely Free

The CDCP may cover up to 100% of the fee established by the plan, not necessarily 100% of the clinic’s fees. Before treatment, the NUO Dental team can explain the coverage that applies and any costs that may remain your responsibility.
